Arthur R. "Art" Seidel
September 16, 1927 - April 10, 2021
        

Of Brookfield. Passed away peacefully in the arms of the Lord with his family by his side on Saturday April 10, 2021 at the age of 93. Born September 16, 1927 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Preceded in death by his mother Helena Seidel (Hartwig), father Ryan Seidel, brother, Roland Seidel, sister-in-law Evelyn Seidel, nephews, James and John Seidel and Reichling brother and sister-in-laws. Beloved husband of Joyce (nee Reichling) for 70 years. Loving father of Steve (Corrine Vollrath) Seidel, Sandra (Brian) Wegner and Wendy (Dan) Gottschalk. Dear grandfather of Rebekah, Rachel, Ryan, Krista, Kayla, Mitchell and Ross. Dear brother-in-law of Shirley Seidel. Further survived by other relatives and many dear friends.

Memorial Services Saturday April 17th at 10:30 am at ABIDING WORD (WELS) LUTHERAN CHURCH, 9420 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee. Full military honors to follow. Visitation Saturday at the CHURCH from 10:00 am until time of services. Masks required. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Camp Phillip, Wautoma, Wisconsin or Abiding Word Lutheran Church appreciated.

Art had many hobbies which included hunting, fishing, traveling, camping, playing cards and loved spending time with his family.

He enjoyed supporting the ministries of Camp Phillip and Gloria Dei Bethesda (Abiding Word) for over 70 years. Baptized into Christian faith shortly after birth, graduated High School in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. Joined the U.S. Navy and then the Army Reserve. Graduated from UW-Madison in 1950 with a Bachelor of Science (Electrical Engineering). Shortly after graduating, his friend and business partner started Kirchmayer-Seidel Inc., his lifelong career for over 50 years.

He was a member of Wisconsin Wildlife Federation, Waukesha County Conservation Alliance, Monches Fish and Game Association, National Wildlife Federation and the National Rifle Association.
