Elberta A. "Bertie" LeVine
April 24, 1925 - September 11, 2021
        

Elberta A. (Bertie) LeVine went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 11, 2021 at the age of 96.  She was born April 24, 1925 to Edward and Mary Lutz in Benton County IA.  Bertie is survived by her brother Al (Julie) Lutz, sister-in-law Carol Lutz, children Todd LeVine, Brad (Pam) LeVine, and Janis (Steve) Harvey, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Bertie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Marion, Merlin, Robert Lutz, sisters Phyllis Harrison and Dorothy Schulte, the love of her life Rev. Eugene LeVine, and her husband’s sister and her husband, Joanne and Ronald Johnson.

Bertie received her teaching degree from Iowa State University, and her Masters in Education from Cardinal Stritch University.  Bertie served as an educator in Iowa, Nebraska, Michigan, and Wisconsin.  She retired in 1992 from Menomonee Falls High School after teaching remedial and advanced reading for 25 years.  Bertie also served meals to the US Military during 1944, and was the Co-Chair of the Menomonee Falls Junior Miss Program for 25 years.

There was never a problem too great for her positive outlook on life.  She loved her family, friends, and her church.  She also loved to nurture her flower gardens, and enjoyed trips to see the beautiful world that God created.

Visitation will be held 10:30am-12:00pm, Saturday, September 18th at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, W180 N7863 Town Hall Rd, Menomonee Falls, WI.  Funeral service, and burial will immediately follow the visitation.  Burial at Sunnyside Cemetery, N84 W19049 Menomonee Ave, Lannon, WI.
