We knew Bertie from church, & shared a love of flowers, especially the spring Pasque flowers we planted by one of the entrances to the church. She was such a blessing to this world, as was Pastor Gene. She will be missed & remembered. God bless you all.

How blessed you three were to have had such a wonderful mother. I will always remember her with a smile on her face. She was also so authentic & truly cared about people when she asked how you were. She listened with such intensity & truly cared.
Her quick wit & intelligence always impressed me. Such peace you all must have knowing without any doubt that she is in Glory.

~ Tracey Stadler, Jackson, WI

Lots of love and prayers for you, Janis, and your family during this difficult time.

Bertie and I corresponded frequently over the past few years - pen pals if you will as we had never officially met in person but she deeply touched my heart. Her notes to me often shared her thoughts and experiences about faith, family and flowers - definitely things that Bertie held in high regard and close to her heart. Such a treasured soul that leaves behind quite the legacy of love and caring for her family and community. Much love and prayers to you, Janis and family, as you celebrate her life. Well done good and faithful servant.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Janis and your family at this time.

Aunt Bertie will be greatly missed by my wife, Mary Jean (Lutz). The two of them corresponded regularly for Mary's entire life and Bertie was always so kind and encouraging to Mary. Our prayers are with you during this time.
