My official barber from the early 80's into the 2000's. He could hold a conversation on just about every subject and I owe a lot to him & Susie for client referrals & that they promoted & sold copies of a book I was involved with in the early 2000's. George's was a lot more than a barbershop. Think of it like "Cheers" where everyone knew your name except that the product was exquisite barbering & hair-styling. George's also had the pulse on Glendale as well as the Nicolet School District. Many of us alum's (and faculty) were regulars @ George's and the Jelich children were all in Nicolet about the time my sisters & I were @ Nicolet. There is absolutely nothing that can replace George's. I am terribly saddened to learn of his passing and heartfelt condolences to Susie & the entire Jelich family.

Even though I've lived in Oregon for 30 years, George was still my barber. Every time I returned to Milwaukee with a thick mop, my Mom sent me over to George. They've elected dozens of mayors over the years, but George was the true King of Glendale.
