Donna Elizabeth Torgerson

Our loving matriarch, Donna Elizabeth Torgerson (nee Thom) passed away on March 31, 2022, at the age of 88. Donna was born to Lillian (nee Scott) Thom Wachtveitl and Robert Henderson on September 21, 1933.

Donna grew up in rural Deerbrook, WI where her maternal grandparents (William and Elizabeth) ran a gas station/grocery store.  Donna enjoyed helping them in the store and garden.  She was the first person in her family to attend high school.

Donna married Lawrence Torgerson Sr., on September 5, 1953.  They were married 58 beautiful years before Lawrence passed away on March 1, 2012.  Together they created a loving home with four children and a large garden. They were well traveled.  Donna loved to write stories and was very active in her church and Homemakers for many years.  Donna enjoyed her time caring for babies at the church day care and spending time with her ten grand-children and eleven great-grandchildren who knew her affectionately as GG.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Torgerson Sr.; grandson Alexander Torgerson; parents Lillian (nee Scott) Thom Wachtveitl and Robert Henderson; siblings Robert Thom, Barney Thom, James Young, and Lois Hofmann, and her son-in-law Michael Ksicinski.

Donna is survived by her children Lawrence Torgerson Jr. (Joyce), Robyn Ksicinski, Tim Torgerson Sr., Diane Hart (Howard); grandchildren Sophia Klingbiel (Tyler), Sarah Ksicinski, Lucas Ksicinski (Lily), Timothy Torgerson Jr. (Lisa), Geoffrey Torgerson, James Torgerson, Theresa Golden (Doug), Clinton Hart, Chad Hart, as well as 11 great-grandchildren, her brother David Henderson of Auburn, WA., and many other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Vernon Presbyterian Church S71 W23280 National Ave. Vernon).  Donna will be forever loved and cherished in our hearts.
