Born August 23, 1930, to Max and Kathryn (nee Jeffords) Olejniczak of Green Bay, WI and died peacefully at home on May 31, 2022, at the age of 91. Nothing short of a life well-lived and thoroughly enjoyed, Dick was adored by his family, neighbors and friends that represented the core of his life. Survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty, children Cindy (Greg) Heinemann, Kerry Olejniczak, Amy Sembower, John (Myra) Olen, and Jim (Krista) Olen. Grandchildren Katie (Nick) Najjar, Ben Heinemann, Zach and Max Olen, John and Joseph Sembower, Graham and Lilly Olen. Great-grandchildren Eli, Sophia and Gabrielle Najjar, brother Larry (Judy) Olejniczak and sister Tina Seifert. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Daniel Olejniczak, and Roger (June) Olejniczak, sister Judy (Paul) LaBonte, and brother-in-law Jerry Seifert.
Dick had a successful career first as a licensed boilermaker, and transitioned that experience to his own business Chemical Maintenance Technologies that lasted well into his 80’s.
Dick loved the company of friends and family at neighborhood gatherings and celebrations, always smiling and telling or cajoling others to share their stories, and inspiring laughter. Dick was active in the lives of his children and St. Mary’s School and Parish in Menomonee Falls, serving as an usher for over 50 years.
While Dick’s character and spirit will be missed, he will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Terrace 167, 3210 Hwy 167 Richfield WI 53076, on Sunday, July 17 from 1pm - 4pm.
