Karen Heyer Daneman
June 28, 1949 - June 6, 2022

Karen Heyer Daneman passed away peacefully on June 6, 2022, in Chandler, Arizona. She was born on June 28, 1949, in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, to Ervin and Julia Heyer, who preceded her in death. Karen was a devoted mother to her two sons, Joseph and Ryan, and they will profoundly miss her. She is further survived by the father of her sons, Bradley Daneman, of Liberty, Missouri.

Karen grew up in Whitefish Bay and Thiensville, Wisconsin and was the youngest of six siblings. Karen was loved dearly by her older brothers, Jerome (Beverly) Heyer who preceded her in death and Michael (Susan) Heyer, along with her three sisters, Judy (Don) Bitler, Mary Reinhart, and Barbara Franczyk.  She is also predeceased by her loving in-laws Jack Reinhart and Roylene Heyer.

Additionally, Karen will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives, as well as a multitude of friends who became part of her family and support system.

After graduating from Dominican High School in 1967, she attended Lincoln College in Illinois. After college, she moved to Rochester, Michigan, where she worked for Oakland University as a newsletter editor. When she moved back to Milwaukee to be close to family, she began and grew her own accounting business. Karen possessed a strong work ethic which she learned from her parents. She enjoyed the many clients with whom she worked, built her business, and became dear friends.

In 2007, she moved to Chandler, Arizona to be close to her son, Ryan. Her son, Joseph, settled in Glenwood Springs, Colorado where she enjoyed her visits with him and spending time in the hot springs sharing stories with one another and deepening her bond with her oldest son. In Chandler, she continued her work in accounting, sharing her dedication and knowledge with her clients who will remember her fondly.

Karen enjoyed gardening, especially at her cherished Fox Point home where she raised her sons and created a loving, welcoming environment. She was caring and compassionate, and was always lending a helping hand to anyone in need.

One of Karen’s best qualities was her sense of humor and quick wit. She had a gift for making others laugh and was able to lighten a moment with her beautiful, genuine smile and banter. She cherished her family, being a mother, and appreciated her friends who filled her heart with love.
