Andres F. Quitzon, M.D.
September 7, 1927 - June 13, 2022
        

Passed on Monday, June 13th, 2022 at the age of 94, husband of Carol A Quitzon (Bednar) for 60 years.

Father of Andres Paul, Robert Fernando and Michael Cletus Quitzon, all of Milwaukee.

Oldest and loyal brother to Teofisto of Los Angeles, California.

He was preceded in death by parents Andres S and Mercedes F Quitzon, Brothers Carlos and Luis, Sisters Soledad, Consolacion, and Josephina.  Further survived by nieces, nephews, relations and friends.

Born in San Mateo Rizal, Philippines. Andy graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in 1955 and immigrated to the United States, where he spent a year in residency at St. Michaels Hospital.  It was there that he met his wife, Carol.  He then pursued a 2 year residency in Anesthesia at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

He then joined the staff at St Michaels Hospital.

Andy and Carol were blessed with 3 exceptional sons.  He spent 30 years at St. Michaels Hospital and retired in 1998.  His gentle manners and generous heart made him a friend to all who met him.

He was an active member of the Filipino American Medical Assn, serving as President in 1985 and the Rizal MacArthur Foundation which supported and served many clinics and hospitals in the Philippine Islands.

Always grateful for the opportunities he had in the United States, he never forgot the exposure to the realities of WWII with his family.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, June 25th at St. Bernadette Church from 9 to 11AM with Mass following at 11AM. A reception will follow.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Andy’s name may be made to the Rizal MacArthur Foundation or Father Genes HELP Center at 5919 W. National Ave, Milwaukee, 53214.
