Kenneth D. Schweitz
July 29, 1956 - June 30, 2022

Kenneth “Ken” Dale Schweitz passed away on June 30, 2022, at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, after a prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 65 years old.

Ken was born in Oakland, Nebraska, on July 29, 1956, to Ernest and Doris Schweitz. He graduated from Oakland High School in 1974 and received a degree in ag engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1979.

In 1978 Ken married his late wife, Dawn, and they had two sons, Reed and Graham. He worked as an engineer for John Deere in Iowa, and in later years, became the owner of PreMold Corp. in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

After Dawn passed away, Ken married his second wife, Ximena, and gained a third son, Willem.

Having grown up on the family farm, Ken developed a strong work ethic that continued throughout his life. He was an avid learner, a wonderful listener and he loved to solve challenges. Even in illness, he faced difficulties with strength and courage and always looked for ways to celebrate the joy of living.

Those who knew Ken, knew they had a friend for life. He enjoyed stimulating conversations, good food, traveling abroad and meeting new international friends. Ken was generous with his time, his talents and his resources whenever a need arose.

Ken is survived by his wife, Ximena, his sons Graham and Willem, brothers Terry (Christie) and Arlan (Beth), his extended family, and many friends.

Ken will be honored in a celebration of life at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, 995 Silver Lake St, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, on Thursday, July 7, 2022, with visitation starting at 9:00 AM and a Mass to follow at 12:00 PM. Memorials to AngelsGrace Hospice are appreciated.
