Burk, Joan Mary
(nee Hamberg) SUSSEX- Joanie passed away peacefully on August 17, 2022. Born to John and Mildred Hamberg on April 10, 1937 in Suring, WI, she is preceded in death by her parents, son Gary Burk, sisters Lorraine Firgens and Jean Miller, and brothers Jack Hamberg and Dean Hamberg. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend Glen Burk, son Gregory (Debbie) Burk, grandchildren Amanda, Dennis and Randy, and many other family members and friends.
Joanie was always involved in a wide-range of activities. She enjoyed participating in service and social activities at her church for many years. Prior to marriage and family, Joanie won awards for her skill in dancing on roller skates. She studied ballet and performed in "The Fire Bird" on the Pabst Stage. Joanie enjoyed the outdoors and was an excellent ice skater. She maintained a regular schedule of exercise, biking and jogging.
A private memorial service was held in her honor. Special thanks to The Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital hospice and medical staff for their loving care and attention.

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
