My deepest sympathy to Cheryl and Bruce on the passing of your mother. Your mom and dad were dear friends of my parents, Don & Eunice. I remember when my mom had bypass surgery back in 1997 and she became part of the zipper club with your dad, Cleo. They had a good visit on the front lawn on Shady Lane.
Treasure those precious and happy memories.

My sympathy to Lois' family and friends. I was Lois' Teacher Aide at Shady Lane School and I admired her teaching skills.
She was always enthusiastic and very kind. I have many fond memories of the years we worked together.

Sending my sympathy and prayers for peace to Lois’ family.
Mrs. Olds was my 1st grade teacher at Hiawatha in 1969-70. I reconnected with her at a gathering at Apple Valley when I started my teaching career in Menomonee Falls in 1986. I have fond memories of her being a very kind and gentle person. May your memories stay close to your heart.

My condolences to the family. I knew Lois as 'Mrs. Olds,' as she was my first grade teacher, in 1985-86. I remember Mrs. Olds as being kind and curious, 2 values that i now try to instill in my own children. I remember exactly where I was sitting in a Shady Lane classroom after we had turned in a writing assignment. She asked the class: "do you want to hear a story?" and she proceeded to read my story out loud. I was thrilled and proud, and excited that a teacher would show such interest in me. And while I can't say I'm now a renowned author, I can say that it lit a fire in me to be creative and curious about the world around me. I didn't know Mrs. Olds well; I didn't know her first name was Lois! I'm not sure I knew teachers had first names at the time. But Mrs. Olds knew me, and she saw me, and she loved me. And I loved her right back!
