Carl R. Hingtgen 95, formerly of Moline, passed away at Brookdale Assisted Living, Sussex Wisconsin early Sunday morning November 13, 2022.

Burial will be at 12:30 Friday,, November 18, 2022 at Arsenal National Cemetery Rock Island, Illinois.

He was born August 8, 1927 in Dubuque Iowa, son of John and Irene Hayes Hingtgen and then to Davenport Iowa at the age of 6. He married B. JoAnne Gremanis on February 26, 1949, Moline Illinois. she died April 16, 1989. He then married Paula Kluding Skeen who later died on January 22, 2022.

Carl served in the US Navy towards the end of WW II and returned to the quad cities. He worked 24 years with Deere & Company as a standards engineer. After retirement he worked for the Sedona Group for 13 years as a consultant to Deere. He was an avid golfer and former member of Oakwood Country Club. Following the passing of his second wife Paula, he relocated to Sussex Wisconsin to be closer to family members.

He is survived by his two sons - John & Marcia Hingtgen (Carmine TX) and Paul & Cherry Hingtgen (Colgate WI), and step daughter Amy Skeen / Kathy Weber (Evanston Illinois ). He also has 6 grandchildren, Jeff, Erica, Sarah, Andrew, Jackson and Walker. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
