I love you so much Grandpa. I know you’re thrilled to finally reunite with Grandma. I cherish the time I spent with both of you and the Memories made: rhubarb from the back yard dipped in sugar, dancing in the basement to juke box music, homemade bread with split pea soup and venison steaks, and your amazing stories. Your emotional zeal was gifted down to many of us and helped me love deeper, inspire more and cherish all around me. I was terrified that I’d lost my chance for one of our meaningful conversations last year when they said you were getting very I’ll. We were all so blessed when we loaded up to Milwaukee and found you had perked up even though I could tell you were almost ready to go home. I know that was selfish on my part but I was able to grab mental and physical snapshots of memories for myself and family that put me at peace. I know now your pain is gone and the loneliness you’ve suffered since Grandma departed has vanished. Rest well Grandpa, you’ve earned it, love forever, Lizzy and family.
