I met Joy many years ago with her involvement with the Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors Foundation. Joy served as Secretary for many years and was a blessing to the organization and the members. I feel lucky to have seen her at the annual institute this past year. Although she indicated the cancer was bad you'd not have noticed as she was such a strong lady she wouldn't let it rule her life or garner sympathy from others. I as I'm sure the other members will miss her dearly!

I was a young surveyor when I met Joy. She encouraged me in so many ways. She nominated me for positions within the society and was always a positive presence. I'll miss her greatly. I was glad to have been able to talk with her in January at the institute. God Bless
