Susan Bea Hanson, age 57, passed away on Tuesday morning, March 14, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital, with her loving husband at her side. Sue was born August 12, 1965, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Edith Fritts and Frederick Fritts, Sr.  She was raised in Wauwatosa, WI with her brother and sister.  After graduating from Wauwatosa East high school, where she served as senior class president, she attended Marquette University and transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she received her Bachelor of Science pharmacy degree.

Sue met her life partner, Russ, in 1992 and they have been inseparable ever since. They were married in 1995 and moved to Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, where their marriage was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Caroline Marie and Natalie Rose.

She had an extensive career as a pharmacist, working in both home infusion care for Baxter and Caremark, and emergency/hospital pharmacy settings for St. Michaels and Community Memorial Hospitals.

Sue was a modern Renaissance woman who loved languages, learning about European history, and perfecting new painting techniques. Sue loved all things about art and was an active member of the local art community. She was a part of the Menomonee Falls Art Guild, participated in many craft fairs, and loved to share her love of art with children through the Wauwatosa Young Rembrandts program.

Sue was fabulous.

In her free time, Sue was an avid traveler, adventuring through the United States and Europe with her husband. Her favorite destination was the beaches of Door County, with a cup of ice cream in hand. Between trips, Sue enjoyed gardening in her own backyard and being with friends and family. Sue was an expert thrifter and took pride in collecting recipes, jams, and purses.

Sue will be dearly missed by her husband, Russ; children Caroline and Natalie; sister Janet (Joe) Flottmeyer; sisters/brothers-in-law Genne Fritts, Karen Tysdal, DuWayne Hanson, Robin Hanson; mother-in-law Eunice Hanson; aunt Barbara Stake; nieces Anna, Amanda, Kate, Holly, Shannon; and nephews Collin, Jordan, Matthew. She was preceded in death by her mother, Edith, father Frederick Sr., and twin-brother, Frederick Jr.
