Donna was one of 6 children born to Irene and Paul Samanske. Dear sister to Ronnie (Ginny) Samanske, Rosemary (the late Bill) Biswell, Bonnie (Dennis) Ruffing, Joannie Wendler, and Cheryl (Dan) Plese. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends, as well as her 4 legged baby, Mia.
Donna leaves behind a legacy of genuine love and affection.
For 53 years Donna and Harry embodied what true love is all about. Their journey through life paved the way for much adventure.
Early in their marriage they lived in California, while Harry was stationed in the Army. They had Rod when Donna was 19, then Shelly came along four years later. Donna started off as a career housewife until her kids started school. Her passion to help people and her love of homes, led her to real estate and she became a top agent at Wauwatosa Realty. Together with her husband, it was their drive and ambition that launched their family’s homebuilding business, Demlang Builders.
In retirement, Donna’s life was full of adventure and continuous improvement. Her and Harry enjoyed living the snow bird life, with their many close friends, at Port of the Islands, in Naples, Florida. Forever practicing her golf stroke, meeting the girls for a game of Mah-jongg, taking an art class, and being on the water with her husband, Harry.
Summers were for the kids of course, and she spent countless hours with the grandkids swimming, painting, camping, and boating.
To her kids she was always a good listener, and a great advice giver. She lead by example and we wanted to be like her in every way.
Donna’s heart was big enough to offer it up to everyone that walked into her life.
There just weren’t enough days for us to enjoy Donna… she is gone too soon, and will be sorely missed.
Life changed for all of us in a split second; please hold your family and friends close, and tell them how much you love them.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 6 from 3PM until time of Funeral Service at 6:30PM at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home – Sussex; W250 N6505 Hwy 164. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Donna’s name to HAWS are greatly appreciated.
