I am so very shocked and sad to learn of Debbie’s passing and I can’t imagine the incredible pain and loss her lovely family are experiencing.
As a teen and young woman, I was good friends with Suzanne and I remember how much we looked up to Debbie, as the larger-than-life big sister! She knew all that I wished I knew about gymnastics, Summerfest and Bryan’s Rocks/The House on the Rock (and everything in between!). She was kind, funny, cheerful, smart, generous and so beautiful, inside and out.
I moved to FL after HS and there was a time, when I had been gone a couple years and was feeling a little down about being so far from home. On her spring break trip to FL that year, Debbie made a detour to visit me and I remember how amazing it was to see a friendly face from home and, by the time she left, I remember feeling so much better about… everything. That was Debbie. :)
To her family, my thoughts and prayers for strength, grace and healing are with you during this incredibly difficult time.

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Deb. I got to know Deb originally in college and then met her again at church when I moved to Whitefish Bay. She was always fun, bright and stylish and she always greeted me with a big smile. I will deeply miss her and my heart goes out to all of her family. You will be in my prayers and thoughts.
