MUKWONAGO- (Nee Runnells) Born to Eternal Life on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the age of 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Donald Anson Schulz.  Loving mother of Carolyn (Bruce) Wickert, Ronald (Diane) Schulz, Debra (Mark) Calabrese, Douglas (Lori) Schulz and Diane Martinez (Scott Forseth). Dear grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.  Dear sister of Dwain and William (Gertrude) Runnells. Sister-in-law of Mary Runnells. Further survived by her faithful companion, Bucky the Dachshund, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Preceded in death by her parents, Dwain and Erna (nee Radtke) Runnells; her siblings, Lois Meyer, Donald Runnells, Glenn Runnells, Richard Runnells, Eugene Runnells and Carol Senkerik; her sisters-in-law, Joan Runnells and June Runnells; and her brothers-in-law, Earl Meyer and Ken Senkerik. 

Visitation on Monday, June 5, 2023 from 5:00pm until Time of Memorial Service at 7:00pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 470 Oak Crest Drive, Wales, WI.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs  www.lutheranchurchcharities.org  appreciated.

Ruth enjoyed working in the gardens at her home over the years as well as at her church of many years, Elm Grove Lutheran. She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and picnics. She loved to bake cookies, breads, desserts, Mrs. Thomas’s Brownies and schaum torte with strawberries or peaches. She would make strawberry freezer jam and grape jelly. She would bake for bake sales at Elm Grove Lutheran as well as help with ushering. She loved her family and her church. She was a strong Christian woman and gave that strength to her children. She enjoyed traveling, spending time in Virginia and Florida, but always enjoyed watching the seasons change as seen here in Wisconsin. But most of all, she enjoyed her hot fudge sundaes and would ask for someone to bring her a 7-foot sundae. She was a compassionate woman who touched the lives of countless people!
