LaVonne A. Kubicek (nee Schwindt)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our family matriarch, LaVonne Kubicek on Nov 15, 2023 at the age of 90. She peacefully left this world surrounded by the love of her family. LaVonne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Loving and devoted wife of Edward Kubicek of 70 years. Mother of Jim Kubicek, Jon Kubicek, Marc Kubicek (LouAnn), Keith Kubicek (Katherine), Todd Kubicek (Ginny), Joel Kubicek (Cynde), Rebecca Adsit (Steve), Chris Kubicek (Chrissy) and Robbin Becco (Jim).
LaVonne's legacy is beautifully reflected the large family she leaves behind. In addition to her 9 children she was a proud grandmother to 31 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Born on February 6, 1933, LaVonne dedicated her life to building a warm and loving home for her family. Her nurturing spirit was exemplified through the joy she found in hosting our family Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter celebrations. LaVonne was an avid gardener and had many beautiful flower beds. In earlier years she was a VBS teacher, active in the Ladies Aid, sang in her church choir and performed volunteer work for the Bethesda thrift store.
A woman of faith, LaVonne's generosity knew no bounds. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved. Her warmth and compassion created an atmosphere of love that will be forever etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate to be part of her life.
