Frederick “Fred” J. Luedtke

Of Eagle, was called home by his Lord and Savior on November 20, 2023 at the age of 82.  He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Barbara of 56 years.  Loving Poppy of Dwayne Luedtke and Kathleen “Kat” (Bryan) Otzelberger; proud grandpa of Alyssa and Shannon; great-grandpa of Ryker.  He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, 2 brothers, and his parents August and Clara Luedtke.

Fred was an elder at Mercy Seat Christian Church  and his faith was very important to how he lived his life.  He was a "fix it" kind of guy with a mechanical mind as he was a tool and dye maker for many years.  Among the simple yet meaningful things that brought Fred great joy were getting and receiving hugs, family talks, walks, and nature.  He also took delight in a good cup of coffee, doing crossword puzzles, dark chocolate, the warmth of stuffed animals, and watching CSI and NCIS.

Each day that Fred shared his earthly life with us is a blessing of faith, and the memories of each of those days will be cherished for years to come. 

Please join us to celebrate Fred's life on Saturday, December 9 at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home (930 Main St. Mukwonago).  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 AM.  Military Honors will follow.

Any gift will be gladly accepted, but please no lilies if sending flowers.
