Kathryn "Kate" Melgard (nee Snyder) 90, Pewaukee, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2023. She is survived by her children, Karen C Melgard, Kenosha, and John M Melgard, Greendale. She was preceded in death by her husband Marshall, three sisters, three brothers, and two nephews.

She was born in Avoca, WI. and graduated from Avoca High. In 1960, she married Marshall Melgard and was married until his passing in 2014.

Kate was first and foremost a wife and mother. She eventually worked as a customer service rep for Fort Wayne National Bank in Indiana.

She was a kind soul and always had a smile for everyone. She was an expert knitter and loved all animals, especially her cats.

A memorial for Kate will be held on December 6th at 1:30 at Kirkland Crossings, 700 Quinlan Dr, Pewaukee, WI. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the Humane Society or any other animal shelter.
