Leon “Mike” Haslam

Mukwonago - Found peace on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at age 84.  

Loving husband of Dorothy (nee Hardy) for 61 years.  Father of Sandy (John) Heath, Karen (Kendall) Smith and Kenny (Jenny) Haslam.  Proud Papa to Nick Haslam (Mel Kindt), Ben (Courtney) Heath, Jake (Rachel) Smith, Alyssa (John) Carroll and Emma Kramer (Chad Wright).  Brother of Maxine Strickler.  Beloved friend and “Grandpa Mike” to Phil, Shelly, Nick and Robyn Doney Family and Mark and Diane Behling Family.  Survived by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, amazing nieces and nephews, extended family, and many, many, many friends, including those from the Air National Guard 128th Air Refueling Wing, his Sheepshead crews, Laflin-St. James Masonic Lodge #247 and the Mukwonago United Church of Christ.  

Preceded in death by parents, Preston and Leona Haslam, sisters, LaVerne (Jim) Brewer and Sarah (Bill) Rosenkranz, and Howard Strickler.

The family wishes to thank all of our family and friends for their love, support and prayers over the past several weeks, the ProHealthcare Home Hospice team and Dr. Tyler Narloch for their loving care and guidance.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Mukwonago United Church of Christ or your favorite charity in Mike’s memory. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 7 at 4PM followed by a service at 7PM at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 930 Main St. Mukwonago.   

Burial service will be held on Thursday, February 8, at 11AM at Oak Knoll Cemetery, 610 Oak Knoll Dr. (Hwy 83 near downtown Mukwonago).
