(nee Bluemling) was born in Milwaukee in 1937, and was born to eternal life on Feb. 5, 2024.

Lois is survived by a cousin Peter Arnett, her children Coralee Grebe (Ray Bills), Donald “Casey” Grebe (Donna), Keith Grebe and H. Leslie Grebe (Harold Buck), her grandchildren Joshua Grebe (Laura), Matt Grebe (Emily Houtler), Heath Grebe (Renee), Tiffany Grebe, D. Nat Buck and Coragyn Buck and great-grandchildren Brogan and Khaleesi Anderson, Maddy Grebe, Donald, Casper and Ariel Grebe and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold Bluemling and Beulah Arnett McQueen, her sisters Diane Bluemling Anschuetz and Bonnie McQueen Flickinger, her great-grandson Noah Grebe and her beloved husband of 63 years, Donald Leslie Grebe.

Lois’s faith was strong, being called to service in many ways: as a church janitor, a youth group leader and a foster mother to 7 children. She worked as a waitress, secretary, typist and as an administrative secretary in the Economics Department at UWM before answering the call to ministry.

She graduated high school from Rufus King, received a degree from UWM in Comparative Religion and Spanish, graduated from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary and was ordained into the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church. She earned a Doctorate in Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary.

Lois served at Central UMC in Milwaukee, First Brookfield UMC, and at Faith UMC in Racine, retiring in 2005. She continued her service at her home church, Bethany-Calvary UMC, her faith story inspiring many.

Like she did so much of her life, Lois has gone to a meeting.

Visitation on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the Funeral Home from 1 PM until the time of Funeral Service at 3 PM.  Private burial at Wauwatosa Cemetery.  Instead of flowers, memorials may be sent to Bethany-Calvary UMC and Rooted & Rising (United Methodist Children’s Services of Wisconsin).
