Jon S. Wamser

Of Vernon, passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2024 at the age of 79.  Loving father of Victoria (Randall) Lusz, Tracy (Paco) Ollerton, and the late Theresa Ruth.  Proud and loving grandpa of Sage (Sarah) Brown, Emmily Lusz, Claire (Ian) Fowler, Rachael (Michael) Benedict, Sarah Lusz, Katherine Lusz, Jon Carl Lusz, and Charlotte Lusz; 2 great-grandchildren Liam Fowler and Hennry Lusz; a brother Jim (Pam) Wamser, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Jon was preceded in death by his loving wife Sharon Wamser of 43 years, a sister Ellen Wamser, a brother William Wamser, his father Carl H. Wamser, his mother Ruth L. Wamser (Goeritz), and his second mother Judith M. Wamser (Bengston).

Jon loved life and remained active all his days.  When he was 18, he co-owned a drag racing business and participated in drag races across the Midwest.  He later became a car salesman and worked at Jack White Ford in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.  In the early 70’s, Jon joined the family business, Everbrite. He was one of the leading salesman for the company and retired from Everbrite in 1996. 

Jon loved spending time with family and friends.  He spent many summers in Ontario, Canada at the family vacation home, Wamserville.  He loved to fish and play Sheepshead.  He leaves behind a legacy of love, family, friendship and kindness. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home (930 Main St. Mukwonago) from 4:00 PM until the time of the Service at 6:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed in Jon’s memory to https://www.ridingwithangelswi.org/
