Of Menomonee Falls, surrounded by family, entered his heavenly home on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the age of 92 years. George was born in Tunnel City, Wisconsin, on November 19, 1931, the son of Henry and Irene (nee Amundson) Bruder. He married the love of his life, Donita Santas, on October 12, 1957. George was a dedicated employee at AO Smith for many years. His passion for working with his hands and being outside, ultimately led George to change careers and open his own landscaping company. He was a longtime active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Menomonee Falls. Hunting, fishing, or taking a walk with his grand-dogs, brought George endless joy. His knack for storytelling kept friends and family entertained, and often wondering if his story was based on fact or perhaps a tall tale. His devotion to his faith, love of family, and cherished friendship will be held close in the hearts of those who knew him.

George will be dearly missed by his wife Donita Bruder; children, Jeffrey Bruder, Kim (Bob) McCarty; grandchildren, Shawn Hillen, Andrew (Sydney Lanigan) Bruder, Tanya Smith, Bobby (April) McCarty, Michael McCarty; great-grandchildren, George, Devin, Zaiden, Zyrek, Kiley, Drake, and Blake. He is preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Gwen Bruder; parents, and brothers Donald and Richard Bruder.

The visitation for George will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 10AM until the time of the memorial service at 11:30 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, W156 N8131 Pilgrim Rd., Menomonee Falls, WI 53051.
