Born to Eternal Life on March 25, 2024, at the age of 91 years.  Born May 4, 1932, in Milwaukee to Sigwald and Mathilda (nee Thoen) Hall.  Beloved wife of the late Howard W. Feist.  Loving mother of Janet (Peter) Erickson, Jane (Kevin) Ligman, and Jeffrey (Linda) Feist.  Special grandma of Thomas Erickson, Ethan Feist, Alexander Feist, and Michael Feist.  Further survived by special niece and nephew, Dianne and Gordon Rathke, other relatives, and dear friends.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma (Howard) Radiske and Shirley (Donald) Moon.  Doris was employed at Gimbels as Lamp Department Manager and Floor Supervisor and then at Younkers Department Store in the Bridal Registry Department.  She finished her working career at Mutual Savings through the 1980s and 1990s.  Doris was a longtime member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church where she married her husband, Howard W. Feist of 52 years in 1955.  Family was most important in her life and Doris enjoyed many friends from her Ladies’ Club, Card Club, and Greendale neighbors.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of Elizabeth Residence New Berlin and Badger Hospice for the care and compassion they extended to Doris.  Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 5327 W. Washington Blvd., Milwaukee from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 AM.  Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Doris’ name to Mount Olive Lutheran Church.
