Steven T. "Steve" Raeber
May 20, 1954 - April 2, 2024

Of Colgate, after a courageous illness with cancer, surrounded by his family, left this earth on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at age 69. Steve was born on May 20, 1954, a son of Eugene and Patricia (nee Grusczcynski) Raeber. He married his beloved wife, Ann Fricke on July 29, 1978. Together they raised their family and made their home in Colgate. Steve spent many years working alongside his dad building their family business and the latter half of his career was spent in management until his retirement. An athlete at heart, Steve enjoyed all things sports but none more so than watching his children and grandchildren play. He was a talented gymnast who would go on to use his skill set to coach Brown Deer High School Girls Gymnastics and Swiss Turners.  Steve often reflected that his fondest memories included coaching his daughters' Germantown softball teams.  An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Packers, Badgers, and Brewers. In his spare time, one would often find Steve casting a rod at his favorite fishing spot, planning his next trip to Canada, perfecting his bowling game or sharing stories around the campfire. Steve will be remembered for his integrity, kindness and willingness to always lend a helping hand.  His commitment to his friends and family was unwavering and he was always there to offer support - he valued the bonds of family and friendship above all else.

Steve will be dearly missed by his wife, Ann; daughters, Kristin (Daniel Vielgut) Raeber and Karly (Christopher) Perras; grandkids, Turner Perras, Sloan Perras, Theo Vielgut and Max Vielgut; sisters, Jill Stange and Lisa Cox. Steve is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The visitation for Steve will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 1PM until the time of service at 3PM at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family to be donated to the charity of their choosing at a later date.
