Constance Mary Zander (nee Pier), age 98 of Wauwatosa, found peace in eternal life on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at St. Camillus Life Plan Community.

Dear wife of 62 years of the late Gerald E. Zander.  Beloved mom of Katherine (Randy) Asunto, Jerry (Lorel) Zander, Susan (Brian) Gustafson, William (Jill) Zander, Mark (Bobbie Jo) Zander and “mother-in-heart” to Kimberly Kulju. Loving grandma to Lindsey (Preston) Gustafson, Brian (Krysta) Gustafson, Samantha (Josh) Zander, Sydney Zander, Kelly Zander and Jack Zander. She was a dear sister of Patricia Megan, Vivian Smith, the late Charlotte Ernst, sister-in-law Joanne Pier, wife of the late Dr. William Pier and loved by many other relatives and friends.

Born April 11, 1926 in Milwaukee, Connie attended Messmer High School where she enjoyed synchronized swimming in addition to her many other activities including horseback riding, tennis, golf and bridge.

Connie was a devoted mother and faithful member of St. Jude Parish for over 60 years where she volunteered in the Over 50 Club, Rectory office administration, den leader

She was also dedicated office manager for Dr. Charles Ziegler DDS for over 20 years.

Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at San Camillo Chapel, 10200 West Bluemound Rd. Visitation at the chapel on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m until the time of Mass. Reception to follow. Private interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.  Please make donations to the charity of your choice.
