Robert S. “Bob” Guiliani Of Mukwonago, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and four children on July 3rd, 2024 after a 19 year battle with cancer. He was 69 years old.

Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife Peggy Guiliani (nee Schmidt) of 34 years. He is the loving father of Jacob (Jessica) Bolton, Caitlin (Spencer) Kranz, Sarah (Michael) Dowe, and Molly (Johnny) Guiliani; proud NoNo of Lilly, Brielle, Emersyn, Elliott, Bailey, Robbie, and Tripp; caring brother of Gail (Joe), Charlene (Shelley), Chris (Kara), and Karen (Ernie). Bob is further survived by his in-laws Edward and Carol Schmidt, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and many dear friends. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Charlotte and Dominic Guiliani.

Bob grew up in the Milwaukee area and graduated from James Madison High School in 1973. He played football, wrestled, and ran track, lettering in all three sports for several years. He attended Milwaukee Area Technical College and completed a three year apprenticeship that kickstarted his career at GE Healthcare as a Machine Repairman. He worked third shift for 42 years before retiring in 2018. 

Bob and Peggy met in 1986 at GE while they both worked there. They married in 1990 and soon after began to expand their family. They went on to share four children and have seven grandchildren with more to come. Bob’s greatest passion in life was his family, his brightest light being his grandkids. Being able to be around them gave him the extra strength he needed to keep fighting, all while continuing to stay goofy and laugh his contagious laugh. He created many lasting traditions, his favorite one being family game night. During said games (usually Phase 10) Bob often times found himself filling the void of a tough loss with snarky and quick-witted comments that undoubtedly made him the winner every time. 

When Bob wasn’t with his family, he would often be at the golf course. If you couldn’t find him there, he’d 100% be watching it from his favorite recliner! His love for the game was endless. He dedicated much of his time to perfecting his craft on the course through multiple golf leagues, charity events, and his annual golf trip with “The Foursome.” 

Bob continuously put the needs of others before his own, and he did it effortlessly. He would build everything his family and friends wanted, whether it be shutters, flower boxes, mailboxes, tables, nurseries, fireplaces, kitchens, pool houses and more. He was a true woodworker and perfectionist, and he loved it. He was a measure five times and cut once type of guy. He constantly maintained a flawless yard and kept the house spotless. Bob always had a leaf blower in hand when outside, and would quite literally follow people around the house with the vacuum when inside. 

Bob found the most peace and comfort in his time spent in Door County with Peggy. Time stood still while there and all worries would wash away. It was their favorite place to go. We will forever be deeply saddened he is not physically here with us, but we know that he is now pain free and has found new eternal peace and comfort in Heaven. He was the world’s best husband, father, NoNo, brother, and friend. We will miss him every day. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 21st at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home (930 Main St. Mukwonago) from 11:00 AM until the time of the Service at 1:00 PM. 

We encourage all guests to wear light blue, in honor of Bob’s battle with Prostate Cancer.
