Janice Winifred Lee, age 83, passed away on July 15th, 2024 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Janice was born on September 7th, 1940 in Buffalo, NY to Clarence and Leona Muhl. She married Glenn Martin Lee on February 13th, 1970 Waukegan, IL.
Janice was dedicated to her daughter Lorraine. Along with her husband Glenn, they faced the challenges of raising a child with special needs. Together, they worked day and night to assure Lorraine would enjoy and prosper throughout her life. Lorraine’s sense of humor, independence and love of animals and sports is evidence of their success.
Janice’s compassion was on display over the 26 years she worked in the Mukwonago School District. She loved to teach and assist students with special needs and work hand in hand with fellow teachers to create a positive and effective environment for learning.
Janice loved all things nature, animals, reading mysteries, trivia night, watching cooking shows, chocolate and traveling!
Surviving Janice is her daughter Lorraine Lee and brother Fred (Carol) Muhl their children, and many other friends and family members.
Preceding Janice in death are her husband Glenn (2020) and parents, Clarence and Leona Muhl.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 20th at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home (930 Main St. Mukwonago) from 12:00 NOON until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 PM. Military Honors will follow for Janice's husband Glenn Lee.
