(nee Stratz) Patricia F. Bednarek of Menomonee Falls died peacefully Friday, August 2, 2024, at Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital at the age of 92. She was born October 16, 1931, to Albin and Iona (Fisher) Stratz in Woodhull, Wis., and was graduated from Rosendale Union Free High School in 1949. She married Robert E. Bednarek at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Woodhull on June 28,1952. They celebrated 49 years together.
Pat was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, where she served as Den Mother to Cub Scout Pack 103. She was a founding member, and co-chairwoman for 35 years, of the volunteer group that served after-funeral meals and refreshments to family and friends who showed up to pay their respects.
Pat was highly active throughout her golden years. She loved to travel, visit Indian casinos, work on crossword puzzles and play sheepshead with friends at LakeHouse Menomonee retirement community. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the family cottage on Little Green Lake.
She delighted in her time with the Red Hat Society and local senior groups, including the Way Off Broadway Players. She loved entertaining at nursing homes and assisted living facilities as a member of the Senior Choir, Swinging Seniors Dance Group, Kitchen Band and Golden Oldies.
Pat is survived by her children Daniel, James, Michael (the late Mary) and Julie (Matthew) Koebert; her grandchildren Brian, Angela, Ashley, Justin (Rachel), Caitlyn and Nicholas, and her great-grandchildren Alyia, Lee and Hudson. She is also survived by one brother Dale (the late JoAnn) Stratz, one brother-in-law Joseph (Ellen) Bednarek, and two sisters-in-law Genevieve (the late Glen) Stratz and Elizabeth (the late Thomas) Bednarek. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pat is preceded in death by her husband, son John, sisters Kathleen (Myron) Schraven, Marjorie (William) Pitt, Marion (Robert) Coon and one brother Glen.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 7, from 10 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church; N88 W17658 Christman Rd., Menomonee Falls. A reception will follow in Daniels Hall. Entombment will take place at 10AM on Thursday at St. Marys Cemetery in Menomonee Falls. Please meet at the Cemetery Chapel.
