Carol Clara Clark
December 28, 1927 - August 17, 2024

Carol Clark (nee Schultz). Born December 28, 1927. Passed away peacefully August 17, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Don W Clark. Loving Dad to Craig (Joyce), Linda (Robb) Klibowitz, Barbara (David) Lawler and the late Beth (Bob) Campbell. Proud Grandma to Christopher, Patrick, Caitlin and Donovan. Treasured GG Clark to great-grandson Huxley.

Carol was born in Milwaukee three days after Christmas, and she was named after “Christmas Carol”. She grew up in Waterford on Tichigan Lake. She graduated from Bay View High School and enrolled in University of Milwaukee. One of her first jobs was as a model for Gimbels Schusters. She met Don Clark at a weekend dance. They were married in 1949 and they were together for 66 years.

Carol was the homemaker extraordinaire taking care of her family. She and Don were members of the Highlander Racquetball Club where she played tennis into her 80’s. She was also a member of many golf leagues. She enjoyed both immensely. She has played bridge with many wonderful women for almost 60 years and counts them among her lifelong friends.

Giving back was very important to Carol. Carol was a member of Holy Cross since the late 50’s and she and Don were very active in the church. Carol was the Superintendent of Sunday Schools when attendance was well over 1000 children. She was a member of several committees including Worship and Music and Altar Guild. She was one of the first to volunteer to bring a dish to pass when needed.

She and Don were volunteers for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In 1981, Carol and Don were the inaugural group of volunteers for Milwaukee Irish Fest. Carol volunteered every year for the first 42 years of the festival.

Carol was one of the kindest people any of us will ever meet in our lifetimes. She was gracious with her appreciation and her “Thank you, very kindly” was a breath of fresh air for the many wonderful people she encountered. Carol was an amazing presence in everyone’s lives, and she will be deeply missed by her family and her many friends.

A visitation will be Thursday August 22, 2024 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, W156 N8131 Pilgrim Road in Menomonee Falls from 10am until time of service at NOON.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or to Milwaukee Irish Fest would be greatly appreciated.
