Judith Frances Anderson Persin passed away on September 1, 2024, after a brief hospitalization.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom; her parents, Edward and Leona Anderson; and her brother, Ed.  She is survived by her sister, Susan Anderson; her children, Julie, Jen (Scott), Tom, Amy, and Bek; her grandchildren, Alec (Courtney), Isaac, Maxx, Molly, Gus, Macy, Maeson, Orion, and Calvin; and a great-grandchild on the way.

Judy was a distinguished alumna of St. Mary’s Academy and Alverno College, where she developed her soprano voice and prepared for her nearly 50-year career as an early-childhood educator, administrator, and entrepreneur.

She belonged to numerous social and charitable organizations, such as the Red Hats Society, Ronald McDonald House, and the Wauwatosa Woman’s Club.  She was an active member of St. Pius X Church, multiple singing groups, and her local neighborhood association.

She was civically involved as a poll worker for countless elections, took great pride in her garden, and famously brought people together for New Year’s Day open houses and “Wine Wednesdays,” which will continue in tribute.

Special thanks to Marian Benz for her unwavering presence and friendship, especially in Judy’s final days.  Thanks also to Judy’s dedicated and talented caregivers at the Lutheran Home, Heritage Elm Grove, Froedtert Hospital, and AccentCare Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, please honor Judy by making a donation to your preferred charity, introduce yourself to a neighbor, and/or volunteer in your community.  Better yet, get out and vote!

Visitation will be on Friday, September 6, 2024 from Noon until the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 PM at St. Pius X Parish, 2506 Wauwatosa Ave. in Wauwatosa.
