Joan Butterfield (nee Goodburne) left this life Sept. 25, 2024 at the age of 93.

She carried out dying the same way she lived — with perfection, grace and ease, mistakes inconceivable. Just a content lady in her comfortable family home, going to sleep next to her beloved husband of 66 years.

Survived by her adoring husband Bruce Butterfield, son Ross with his wife Renee and children Jacob and Sara Butterfield, and daughter Amy with her mate Larry Phillabaum and son Alex Phillabaum.

She will be horribly missed, but we are left with nothing to regret on her behalf. She was smart and strong and she lived well. She shared her gifts of patience, calm, thoughtfulness and loving kindness to create a safe and orderly world for herself and her family to thrive in. Her great and enduring beauty was soul-deep. She made us happy.
