Welcomed into the arms of the Lord on October 13, 2024, at the age of 63.

Beloved husband of Susan Hillstrom, his high school sweetheart, with whom he shared 42 years of devoted marriage.

Cherished dad of Sarah (Matt) Pietruczak and Lisa (Dane) Wakeman. Loving grandpa of Liam and Lucas Pietruczak.

Dear brother of Jolyn (Tom) Hillstrom Sweeney, Carol Liederbach, and Janice (Thomas) Drake. Much loved uncle and great-uncle to many nephews and nieces. Further survived by family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents Reuben and Genevieve Hillstrom.

Eric was a proud longtime member and councilmember of St. John United Church of Christ. He served in many volunteer and church leadership roles over the years, including council president and treasurer.

Eric was a music enthusiast, talented musician, and loved to regularly attend the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. He was a longtime Packers and Brewers fan and enjoyed traveling to other cities to see the Brewers play. Eric had a deep appreciation for the art of fine food and wine, and he loved to travel and explore new places.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home (N84W17937 Menomonee Ave. Menomonee Falls, WI, 53051). Starting at 10:30am until the time of service at 12:00pm.
