Passed away in his sleep on October 27, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. Donnie is survived by his spouse Janice (Jan) and son Chad Thompson. Brothers, Walter Charles Thompson, Larry Joe Thompson, and sister Sharon Farrar. Preceded in death by his daughter Shelly Rae Thompson.

Donnie served a long career in the US Air Force and retired as a 767 Captain with United Airlines. He also served as Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard. 

Donnie enjoyed driving his corvette and cruising around on his Harley. He also enjoyed sailing, gardening and playing with our family dogs!

There will be a small service at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 10700 W. Capitol Dr. on November 7, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Please meet at the cemetery office.
