Dieter Polak
October 4, 1940 - November 17, 2024

Dieter Polak, age 84, of Menomonee Falls, WI, formerly Pewaukee, WI, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, in Menomonee Falls, WI.

Dieter was born on October 4, 1940, in Germany to the late Michael Polak and Emilie Fidorra. He married Inge Zapf on November 22, 1958, in Milwaukee, WI.

Professionally, Dieter worked at Gaco Western, Kolmar Laboratories, and Volatile Free, Inc., the company he co-founded in 1995 and loved with his son, Brian.

Dieter had many passions over the years, from racing pigeons and raising tropical fish to his enjoyment of the Green Bay Packers. Every Sunday, he was in his recliner to cheer on or swear at the Packers. He was even able to hear that the Packers won this Sunday, keeping up their several-year winning streak against the Chicago Bears. When he could be pulled away from Volatile Free, Inc., he also enjoyed traveling with his wife.

His biggest joy and love was for his five grandchildren. He attended sporting events and concerts during their younger years, played dominoes and other board games with them, and just loved being their Opa. Fortunately, he got to meet his first great-grandchild, Tatum, whom he loved immensely. Spending time with her and seeing pictures of her would always bring a big smile to his face.

Dieter is survived by his wife, Inge; children, Susan (David) Neitzke of Menomonee Falls, WI, Nancy (Alfred) Hochmuth, of Hubertus, WI, Brian Polak of Pewaukee, WI; grandchildren, Gabriele (Tom) Salfer, Samantha Hochmuth, Kenneth Neitzke, Kristina Neitzke, and Hunter Hochmuth; and great-grandchild, Tatum. He is further survived by his many nieces and nephews.

Dieter was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Emilie; sisters, Charlotte, Hildegard, and Ruth; and brothers, Ervin, Helmut, Lothar, and Manfred.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral & Cremation Services Sussex WI. W250 N6505 Hwy 164 Sussex, WI. Burial at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, WI.
