Curtes, Virginia A. (“Ginny”); Age 82
Our sweet Ginny passed away to eternal life, peacefully and cozy at home on Saturday, November 16, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Don Curtes. Dear mother of Cynthia, Michael (Heidi), Jeffrey (Jessica) and Joseph Curtes. Loving Gramie of Hannah, Zachary, Cecilia, Finlay and Bowie Curtes. Preceded in death by her parents, Emmanuel and Virginia Voss.
Virginia filled her life—and ours—with everlasting beauty and love. Her appreciation of elegant simplicity in all forms--her gardens, her homes, her personal style--were iconic. The caring devotion that she brought to mothering and grandmothering is something we can only hope to emulate. The unshakable bond between Ginny and Don, which began on the shores of Big Cedar Lake more than 65 years ago, will live on. Their 62 year marriage and dedication to each other is an enduring true love story for the ages. We will miss her forever and will carry her with us always. We will take comfort in knowing that she is surrounded by eternal love and light.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful people at Angel Love & Care and Horizon Home Health Care. We offer special love and appreciation to Arnil, May and Arianna. Thank you, ladies, for loving and caring for Mom and for being strong, steadfast companions to Dad throughout this journey.
Virginia’s family will host a private burial and graveside service followed by a small gathering in her memory and honor. In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring Mom’s love of all animals with a donation in her name to Wildlife In Need Center, W349 S1480 S. Waterville Road, Suite B, Oconomowoc, WI 53066. https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/WildlifeInNeed
