Mary E. Crawford (nee Moher)
August 17, 1944 - November 20, 2024

Mary Crawford, passed away peacefully at the age of 80, after a courageous battle with cancer, on November 20, 2024.

Mary was a passionate traveler, adventurer, and lifelong lover of new experiences. Every year, alongside her husband John, she embarked on journeys across the globe. A highlight of their travels was annually attending the NCAA Frozen Four hockey tournament finals, a beloved tradition for the couple. Mary explored the world with John or friends, visiting Africa, Asia, South America, and Europe, though Mary’s heart was always drawn back to Ireland, the country she cherished most.

In addition to her love for travel, Mary had a deep appreciation for the arts. In 2005, she became a docent at the Milwaukee Art Museum, where she found immense joy in sharing her passion for art with visitors. Her love for the arts extended to the theater, where she held season tickets to the Milwaukee Rep, continuing to attend performances into the most recent season.

Mary had a thirst for knowledge that was evident in everything she did. Whether attending lectures, taking bridge lessons, participating in her investment club, or enjoying a good book, she was always eager to learn and grow.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, John; her children, Michael (Myra) Crawford and Alison (Dave) Archer; her grandchildren, Katie (Tim) Kosanke, Sarah (Zach) Archer, Kevin (Kelly) Archer, Patrick Crawford, and Paige Crawford; her great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Andrew, Bria, Henry, and Sadie; and her siblings, Tom, Patrick, Maggie, and Bridget. Mary will also be fondly remembered by many close friends.

Mary will be remembered for her fierce independence, her vibrant spirit, and her ability to embrace life fully.
