Suzan Christine Wallack
January 25, 1947 - November 20, 2024

Suzan Christine Wallack, age 77, of Slinger, Wisconsin, beloved wife of the late Leslie G. Wallack, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Suzan was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Edward J. and Vivian F. Zvara (née Weisman). She cherished her childhood on Milwaukee's north side, where she grew up with her beloved siblings: Merry, Gloria, Joan, and Edward. It was just before high school that Suzan met Leslie, the love of her life. Their bond endured a lifetime, lasting until his passing in 2023. Now, they are joyfully reunited in Heaven.

If you knew her, you loved her. Whether she was “Sue,” “Suzie,” “Suzie-Q,” “Auntie Sue,” “Grandma Zoo,” “Suzan Christine!” or, my favorite, “Ma,” she left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was loved for countless reasons—her beautiful quilts, comforting chicken noodle soup, warm hugs, or her ever-open ear, always ready to listen.

My mom was an incredible person. She was always there for me, unwavering in her belief in my dreams. She had a way of pushing me to be my best, all while being my biggest fan and my toughest critic. She was the first person I called, the last person I would ever want to disappoint , and the one who signed me up for 5th-grade football.

She taught me so much. She passed on a love for reading, an appreciation for Cool Hand Luke, and the importance of walking tall. Most importantly, she taught me that life is made up of chapters. No matter what chapter you’re in- good or bad, she would always remind me, “This too shall pass.”

Suzan is survived by her loving and loyal son, Jeffrey (Jamie) Wallack, and her adored grandsons, Alexander Jeffrey and Parker Stone Wallack of Franklin, Wisconsin. She is also survived by her siblings Merry (Dennis) Balistreri of Waukesha, Wisconsin; Gloria Zvara of Jackson, Wisconsin; Joan (Grant) Semrau of Richfield, Wisconsin; and Edward Zvara of Hartford, Wisconsin. Additional survivors include her brother-in-law John (Kris) Wallack of Conifer, Colorado, and many extended family members and friends.

On behalf of my entire family, a heartfelt thank you to the CVICU medical team at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin—especially nurses Annie and Aubrey. You are true angels, and we will never forget the beautiful, compassionate care you provided to my mom.

Please join us in a Christian celebration of Suzan’s life on Saturday, January 11th, 2025, at Victory of the Lamb Lutheran Church in Franklin, Wisconsin. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM, with a service to follow at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to American Humane Society in Suzan’s memory.
