Born on September 20, 1941, in Evergreen Park, IL, Larry was a beloved member of his community and family, residing in Beverly, IL, and later in Whitefish Bay, WI. Larry is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Patricia Gilroy (née Logan) of Mequon, WI. Their union was a beautiful testament to enduring love and partnership, a beacon of strength and devotion. Together, they raised three sons, John (Diane) Gilroy of Muskego, WI, Mark Gilroy of Wales, WI, and Andrew Gilroy of Lake Forest, IL, who carry forward his legacy of integrity and kindness. His grandchildren, Connor, Kaylyn, Joshua, Nicholas, and Ashley Gilroy, were the light of his life, and he took immense pride in their achievements and growth.
Larry's sister, Victoria Gilroy of Ann Arbor, MI, also survives him, sharing in the memories of a brother who enriched their lives. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Annan Gilroy and Lucile Belle Koch Schuesller Gilroy, whose values and teachings he carried throughout his life.

Larry's life will be celebrated at a service of remembrance on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Saint Boniface Episcopal Church in Mequon, WI. The family will welcome friends at 9:30 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow, offering an opportunity for loved ones to gather in fellowship and share cherished memories.
