Albert John "Big Al" Piraino, Jr.
October 11, 1943 - December 6, 2024
        

Albert John Piraino AKA "Big Al", born in Waukegan, IL on October 11th, 1943, passed away surrounded by love on December 6th, 2024 in Milwaukee, WI at the age of 81 years. He is preceded in death by his parents Albert J. Piraino, Sr. (1923-2006) and Virginia Barbara Zacks Piraino (1924-2004) both of Waukegan, Il. After graduating high school from Waukegan Township High class of 1961, Albert went to the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he played in the Rose Bowl for the Wisconsin Badgers. He also played professional football in the AFL for the Kansas City Chiefs. Albert was a veteran; he proudly served in the United States Army. Albert went on to enjoy a successful career in medical sales. He was also committed to coaching basketball at St. Mary's Elm Grove School and Parish in Elm Grove, WI. Of all of his accomplishments, Albert was most proud of his four children. He is survived by by his twin daughters Katherine (Todd) Kowalski and Elizabeth Piraino, and by his sons Michael (Michelle) and Joseph (Dana). Albert is also survived by his little sister Bernice (Bob) Twardy, his adoring grandchildren Haley, Jack, Gabrielle, Gavin, and Benjamin, his two loving ex-wives Melinda Wall Piraino and Gloria Greer, as well as nieces and nephews, great-grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends. He was the funniest guy in the world, and he will be forever missed.

A celebration of life will be held at Bullwinkle’s at the Galleria, 18900 W Bluemound Rd STE 100, Brookfield WI 53045, on Saturday, December 21st from 12:00 p.m. to  3:00 p.m.
