Kenneth H. Dellemann
February 20, 1935 - December 13, 2024

Of Germantown

Age 89. Entered into Eternal Life on December 13, 2024. Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Egle) for 66 years. Loving father of Kenneth, Timothy (Michelle), Sandra (William) Neureuther, and the late Thomas (Julie). Grandfather of Ben, Aimee, Terese, Alex, Nathan, and Brandon. Great-grandfather of Aaron, Sam, Lauren, Joey, Dominic, Robin, and Fawn. Dear brother of Virginia Weldon, the late John Dellemann Jr. , and Sharon James.

Ken began his 35 year career at Briggs and Stratton as a stock chaser on the factory floor.  Because of his strong drive to succeed, he enrolled in business school at Marquette University.  This is where he met his wife of 66 years, Kathy. While pursuing his BA, he was completing his responsibilities at Briggs with such enthusiasm and expertise that his superiors took notice. Through the years, they offered him many managerial opportunities at which he excelled and was eventually promoted to Vice President of Manufacturing.

He was no less enthusiastic in his personal life. Family always came first with Ken. His studies would not begin until after his children were tucked in bed. He would then complete his school work at a card table in the living room, or while standing at his dresser, fearful that he would pass out from fatigue if he were to study seated.

Ken had a great love for the outdoors which he passed along to his children and grandchildren.  Family vacations initially centered around fishing trips at resorts in northern Wisconsin.  The resort stays were soon replaced by camping trips with tents and canoes and eventually travel trailers. After retirement Ken and Kathy acquired a Country Coach motorhome and enjoyed travels across the country while making lasting  friendships with members of  the Country Coach Club. He was greatly saddened when his declining health forced him to give up driving the 45 foot Coach.

He was a huge fan of Marquette basketball and held season tickets for many years.  Fans were disappointed when Ken and Kathy were no longer seen in the arena decked out in their matching yellow Marquette sweater vests.

Ken instilled strong Christian, family and community values in all of his children.  He served for many years at St. Hubert’s on the Parish Council, helping to lead the parish through many tough decisions and necessary changes.  He served as St. Hubert’s Athletic Director and was a Lector for many years.  He was a strong proponent and supporter of Catholic education. Many of his closest friends were members of St. Hubert’s.

Ken will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 1200 St. Gabriel Way Hubertus, from 10:30am until 12:15pm. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30pm. Memorials directed to St. Gabriel Catholic Parish School are appreciated.
