He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Rita. Daughters Chris Lembke and Mary Manius. Son-in-law Bob Scaffidi. Grandchildren Michelle Styne and Paul Poznanski.

Fran is survived by a large and loving family. Daughters Shelby (Gary), Kathy (Bill), Bobbi (Marty), and Rose. Son-in-laws Kurt and Steve. Grandchildren  John, Melissa, Laurie, Rachel (Joenathon),  Elizabeth (Tyler), Gretchen (Jake), Lynn (Eric), Dirk (Amanda), Charlotte, Courtney (Curtis), and twenty-two Great Grandchildren with two expected in the near future. In addition, many other family members and friends.

Fran grew up in Rice Lake, WI. In 1960, Fran and Rita moved to Muskego where they raised their six daughters.  In 2011 they relocated to Wausaukee where Fran lived until 2020 when he returned to Muskego.

He  had many hobbies and wore many hats throughout his life. He served in the Army, worked in Sheet metal, plumbing, asphalt and driving semi-truck.  His hobbies included raising and racing pigeons, snowmobiling, deer hunting, bowling, trapshooting, and even coaching his daughters’ softball team.

Horses and Cowboy hats were more than a hobby.  His love for horses started on his Grandparents farm in Rice Lake as a young boy.  Over the years he owned, trained, showed and shoed many different breeds. However, he never lost his love for his favorite breed, Quarter Horses.

He passed on his love for many of his hobbies to his daughters and grandchildren.

Fran lived a “hat filled” life.  He has completed his ride. And we are confident that he has found peace.
