Went Home to the Lord on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the age of 65. Loving longtime partner of Matt Goebel. Beloved sister of Wayne (Christina Schaefer) Spencer, Jenny (Dave) Strigens and Carrie (Dave) Ghose. Dear sister-in-law of Linda Spencer. Further survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Cindy is preceded in death by her brother Mark and parents Duard and Lois (nee Knuth) Spencer.

Cindy graduated from Carroll College in 1980. She then worked at Tri City National Bank and American Appraisal Associates/Duff & Phelps Corp. for many years.

Cindy was a kind and gentle soul, epitomized by her longtime love of Raggedy Ann. She enjoyed nothing more than spending an afternoon reading a good book, especially a mystery, or watching a classic film on TCM or one of her many DVDs. Together with Matt, Cindy looked forward to their numerous trips across the lake on the SS Badger over the past 30 years and their days spent on the other side in Ludington, MI. Cindy was also an avid Wisconsin sports fan and had many fond memories of celebrating the 1982 Brewers World Series appearance. Cindy grew up with her family spending most weekends Up North, and she joyfully threw herself into her father Duard’s make-shift maple syrup operation that he set up each spring after his retirement. Later in life, she continued to make at least one annual trip to the north woods to feed her enduring love of nature.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 28 from 10AM until time of Funeral Service at 11AM at Benediction Lutheran Church; 8475 W. Fond du Lac Ave., Milwaukee. Private burial will take place at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Wauwatosa, WI.
