Loving husband to Susan Sobieszczyk, loving father to Stacy Bump, Chris Sobieszczyk, and Aaron Sobieszczyk, and father in-law to Kris Bump and Desire’ Sobieszczyk. Loving brother to Kathy Bergner.
Dave was a husband, father, brother...but he was also a fisherman, a hunter, and an avid baseball enthusiast, in addition to loving a good flea market or curb find. His favorite place in the world was the family’s cabin Up North, where he could find peace and relive some of his best memories.
He had a lot of pride in his family and their achievements, from his daughter’s rising career, his first son’s successes as an RN in the medical field, and his second son’s aspirations to help teach the next generation in his work in schooling and the community’s Recreation Departments. Dave also had a lot of pride in his marriage; he and his wife Susie celebrated 51 years together this past November.
Dave also loved baseball; specifically the Milwaukee Brewers, but truly, he just loved the magic of the All-American sport. During the summer, you were likely to hear Uecker on the radio, commentating on the game. If Dave was going to a game, you bet it was a bobblehead night. One of his fondest memories was the trip to New York with his sons to see the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Visitation at the Funeral Home on Sunday, January 26th, 2025 from 1 PM until the time of Memorial Service at 2 PM.
The family requests that visitors come in their Brewers gear if possible, to honor Dave.
