William John Abraham Jr.
January 17, 1948 - January 26, 2025

William J. Abraham, Jr., born on January 17, 1948 to Constance and William, Sr., passed away on January 26, 2025 after a long fought battle with PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy).

Devoted husband to Linda (Omeis) for over 56 years, father of Richard (Kristin) and Heidi (Gerald Weisflog), and doting grandfather of his beloved Annabel (15).

Survived by his brother, Rick (Erin), step grandkids, nephews and nieces as well as many other friends and family.

Bill attended LTHS in Western Springs, Illinois with Linda, then pursued a BA from the University of Illinois where he studied economics, finance, and real estate, while achieving all-American honors as the Big Ten Sabre fencing champion. He went on to University of Michigan Law School, graduating magna cum laude in 1972.

Bill, his wife, and son moved to Washington DC so he could clerk for the Honorable Edward A Tam. He was recruited by Foley and Lardner in Milwaukee in 1972, making Whitefish Bay home for his family. He focused mostly on mergers and acquisitions at Foley but also served as a family lawyer to many clients who quickly became lifelong friends. He served on many boards but Children’s Hospital was near and dear to his heart.

Bill loved to golf with his wife and take his son on extraordinary golf outings, including Augusta, Scotland, and Ireland just to name a few. He found time to take his daughter to Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, and Botswana. He was always planning the next vacation with his family. Such a devoted man.

You could not find a more generous or caring person. He stepped up when he was needed and made time for everybody, especially his one-and-only granddaughter. There is nothing Bill cared for more than his family and they will miss him more than words can express.

Visitation on Saturday, February 15 from 11:30 AM until 12:40 PM.  Funeral Eulogies will begin at 12:45 PM followed by the Memorial Mass at 1:00 PM.  All will be held at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2750 W. Mequon Road, Mequon, WI 53092.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to curepsp.org as Bill's final selfless act was to donate his brain to Mayo for study to help prevent others from suffering from this disease.
