To know Megan Pederson was to be touched by her warmth and kindness. She had a special ability to bring joy and light into the lives of those around her. Megan always saw the best in people, embraced optimism, and held steadfast to the power of faith.

Born on July 7, 2004, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Megan’s smile was as constant as her compassion. Her heart was vast, and her ability to empathize with others knew no bounds. Megan had a unique way of cheering on the underdog, and she lived with a glass-half-full mindset that inspired all who knew her.

Megan was a proud 2022 graduate of Germantown High School and began her college journey at the University of La Crosse – Wisconsin, where she was eager to explore new opportunities. Outside of her studies, Megan was an avid tennis player and had a true passion for baking, often delighting her friends and family with her creations. When illness prevented her from continuing her education, she channeled her love for baking into a business she named Bake Me Happy Confections—a passion that brought her immense joy and became a heartfelt expression of her creativity and spirit.

Megan shared a deep, unwavering bond with her family, especially her mother, Courtney. She was very close to her siblings, Molly, Ryan, and Evan, and cherished every moment she spent with them.

Her energy was infectious, and those who met Megan felt drawn to her kind spirit. She had a way of nurturing relationships that made everyone feel valued. Megan’s love was truly boundless.

While it is incredibly hard to say goodbye to Megan, we find comfort in knowing that her faith has led her to a place of peace, and that she is now in the loving embrace of God and her Papa, surrounded by those who have gone before her.

Megan is lovingly survived by her mother, Courtney; her siblings, Molly, Ryan, and Evan; and her cherished dogs, Mack and Archie. She is also survived by her beloved grandmother, Mimi Sue Christiaansen; aunts and uncles, Robin (Troy) Peterson, Jenni (Hugh) Wabers, and Jeff Christiaansen; and her cousins, Christiaan Wabers, Rachael (Jack) Zwettler, Jack Peterson, Drew (Katie) Peterson, Ben Peterson, and Anna Peterson. Megan’s memory will forever be carried in the heart of her dearest friend, Madi, and all those who loved her deeply. We would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Munoz, Megan’s nurse, Vineesha, and the wonderful staff at Vitas Ruth Hospice.

A visitation and memorial service for Megan will be held on Thursday, February 6th, at Northbrook Church in Richfield, WI, with visitation from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and service to follow at 6:00 p.m. For those who cannot attend in person, attached is a link to a zoom option: https://bit.ly/3PW6rnh
