Ronald H. Etzel
July 11, 1947 - February 16, 2025
        

Ronald Herbert Etzel, 77 years old, passed away on February 16th, 2025, at the VA Hospital in Milwaukee surrounded by his loving family. Ron was born in Milwaukee, WI on July 11, 1947, to Jacob and Mabel Etzel. He graduated from Menomonee Falls High School in 1965.  Ron spent the next 4 years in the United States Airforce as an Airforce Ranger.  During this time, he completed 2 tours of duty in Vietnam.  After his time in the military, he returned to Germantown where Ron and his twin brother Rick were the proud owners of the family business Etzel’s Country Inn. In1999, Ron moved to Tucson where he resided for the next 15 years.  In 2015, Ron moved back to Germantown to be close to family.

Ron loved spending time with his beautiful wife Sandi - they loved to golf, travel, play cribbage, and dice.  Ron loved family dinners with his siblings and parties with his family and friends.  Ron was active in his grandkid’s lives, you would often find him in the stands or audience cheering them on. Ron had a love of his Wisconsin sports teams and could quote stats with the best of them.  Ron had an infectious smile, a witty sense of humor, and was loved by all that knew him.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sandi, his three sons Ron (Lisa), Travis and Jason (Hayley) and their beautiful grandchildren Braden, Jackson, Dalton, Cade, Blake, Madison, Mackenzie, Montana, Reidyn, Ransym, Rorick and Ryker. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Audrey Pucek, 3 sisters Ellie Bialoszynski, Sue Meissner (Elwood) , and Jean Neumann, sister-in-laws Maggie Etzel and Lynda Pucek, brother-in-law Greg Pucek, as well as many, dearly-loved nieces, nephews, their spouses and children and many wonderful, beloved friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Mabel Etzel, father-in-law George Pucek, twin brother Rick Etzel, brother-in-laws Gary Neumann and Gary Pucek and Jim Bialoszynski, and granddaughter Jennavieve Etzel.
