Oretha (Rita) Dueno was born to Eternal Life on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the age of 91. Dear mother of Cindy (Mike) and Susan (Dave). Loving grandmother of Amanda (Elliott), Sarah (Brandon), Curt (Sheila), Holly (Ryan), Ryan, Holly (Rick). Beloved Great Grandmother of Stella, Jaxon, Beau, Norah, Emma, Rebecca, Claire, Nathan, Makenzie, Juliet, Bryce, Ethan and Hannah. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends. Preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bobby) of 61 years. Her mother Olive, her father Orin Sr., brother Orin, sister Oleta, her in-laws, brother and sister in-laws.

Rita was born in Milwaukee, WI and attended North Division High school. She met her husband for the first time at a wedding that she was the maid of honor and he was the best man. He winked at her, and from that day on, they knew they were meant for each other. They moved to the Town of Lisbon where they built their home that they lived in for 60 years. Rita was a church secretary for many years while raising two daughters. They were very active in their church, loved traveling with their camper across the United States, golfing and dancing. They had a closet full of square dancing outfits hand made by Rita. She loved to sew and knit. Rita treasured her grandchildren and great grandchildren and embraced every moment with them.

The other love of Rita's life was our dog "Sophie". She adored her as they were constant companions. Sophie would spend most waking hours on her lap getting all the attention she could.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, W250 N6505 Hwy 164, Sussex, WI 53089 from 12:00pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00pm. Snacks & beverages will be available in the community room during the visitation with a luncheon gathering to follow at the Sussex Bowl, N64 W24576 Main St., Sussex from 3:00-7:00pm.
